Bio
Dr. Marc Routman is a board-certified otolaryngologist with Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital. He has cared for patients in Alabama since 1994, and his specialties include:
- Head and neck procedures (craniotomy, laryngoscopy, nasal procedures, thyroid removal, tonsil removal, tracheostomy)
- Throat and esophageal problems (endoscopy, esophageal disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, tonsillitis)
- Ear infections and drainage
- Respiratory infections
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Thyroid conditions
- Head and neck cancers
- Aspiration, incision and drainage
Dr. Routman’s Training
Dr. Routman earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Washington University in St. Louis and received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at Louisiana State University Charity Hospital in New Orleans.

He is certified in head and neck surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Medical Association of the State of Alabama, Alabama ENT Society and Jefferson County Medical Society.
